The next victim to be featured in our “Meet the Texties” series is Bethany Latta - a senior account manager here at Text 100. Check out her interview below to see why Bethany loves bagel Fridays and trips to the Adirondacks.

Q1. What is your most interesting talent?

Answer: Oh no! I don’t have any. This isn’t really a talent, but I’m really good at organizing friends and family for gatherings; just getting people together for things like wine tours. I can’t tap dance or anything like that (laughs).

Q2. What’s one thing you could do every day without getting bored of it?

Answer: Reading. Is that boring? Historical fiction is my favorite genre. Right now I’m reading “The Best of Times” by Penny Vincenzi. She usually writes books set around World War II, but this one takes place in the present day. It is about a horrible car crash in London and how everyone’s lives are now entwined because of the crash.

Q3. If you could eat only one kind of food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Answer: Bread. Bagels, specifically, which is one of the reasons I love working at Text because we have bagel Fridays. I’m a carb freak – I could never do the Atkins diet. I used to be a vegetarian, but I’m trying to get away from that because all I was eating was vegetables and carbs.

Q4. If you had a shrinking device, what’s the thing in your house that you would miniaturize first?

Answer: I would have a mini fireplace that I could take anywhere with me because I’m always cold. I would put it in my bedroom because it’s the coldest room in the house, but my husband doesn’t like space heaters.

Q5. What would be your reaction if you were told that you had to marry the first person you ever had a crush on?

Answer: Wow, what a flashback. I can’t even imagine because my life would be so different.

Q6. If you could have dinner with anyone from history, who would it be and why?

Answer: Fred Hess. He’s the man who built the hotel I got married at. The hotel was built in the 1800s, and the people who own it now restored it, so I’d love to hear what it was like back in the day.

Q7. If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?

Answer: I’d have the ability to create food and feed massive amounts of people during a disaster. That’d be cool.

Q8. If you were a salad, what kind of dressing would you have?

Answer: Poppy-seed. It’s unique but still well-loved.

Q9. If you had to smell like one thing for the rest of your life, what scent would you pick?

Answer: Hydrangeas. They’re my favorite flower.

Q10. If you had to design a postage stamp, what would you put on it?

Answer: Some mountainous/lake scene with an Adirondack chair. It reminds me of some of my favorite pastimes. I used to go to the Adirondacks all the time and I got married there, so it’s a big destination place for me.
